Exchange Contacts

The contact exchange feature allows you to quickly share your digital business card with other Launchpad users and receive theirs in return.


  1. Visit someone’s digital card via their link or QR code
  2. Click the “Exchange/Connect” button
  3. Select which of your cards to share (if you have multiple cards)
  4. The exchange request is sent

  • Notification appears in your connections/dashboard
  • Review the requester’s information
  • Accept or decline the request
  • Track sent requests in “Pending” tab
  • Cancel requests if needed
  • Automatic notifications on status changes
  • Keep your card information up to date
  • Respond to requests promptly
  • Use professional photos and descriptions
  • Include relevant contact information
  • Customize your card for different audiences (e.g., business, personal)

Notifications on My Cards Page:

  • Exchange contact notifications will appear when you’re on the My Cards page
  • Pop-up notifications show incoming exchange requests in real-time
  • You’ll see the requester’s name and card preview
  • Accept or decline directly from the notification popup

Common Exchange Issues:

Exchange button not working?

  • Check Cookie Settings: Ensure you have accepted the cookie agreement on the Launchpad website
  • Cookie Consent Required: Exchange functionality requires cookies for session management and user authentication
  • Re-accept if needed: If you previously declined cookies, you’ll need to accept them to use exchange features

Steps to Enable Cookies:

  1. Look for cookie banner on the Launchpad website (usually at bottom of page)
  2. Click “Accept All Cookies” or similar button
  3. Refresh the page where you’re trying to exchange contacts
  4. Try the exchange button again

Exchange Request Failed:

  • Verify you’ve accepted the cookie agreement
  • Check your internet connection
  • Ensure you’re logged into your Launchpad account
  • Try refreshing the page and attempting exchange again

Not Receiving Notifications:

  • Navigate to your My Cards page to see notifications
  • Check if cookies are enabled in your browser
  • Ensure you haven’t disabled notifications for the website
  • Verify your account email settings for exchange notifications

Cannot Accept/Decline Requests:

  • Ensure cookies are enabled and accepted
  • Clear browser cache and cookies, then re-accept cookie agreement
  • Check if you’re logged into the correct Launchpad account
  • Contact support if issues persist
